Gov Masari admonishes colleagues on security matters

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, Wednesday urged the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to quickly complete the COVID-19 tests for those who had contact with the medical doctor who died on Monday.

The governor, who made the call while giving an update on COVID-19 situation in the state, charged the NCDC to release the result of the suspected cases within 48 hours.

He said: “I want the NCDC to release results of the samples taken from the suspected persons within 48 hours.

“As at now, we have quarantined about 35 persons suspected to have contact with the late medical doctor.”

He said the prompt release of the test results would enable the government to either quarantine the whole state or some parts to prevent the spread of the disease.
