COVID-19: Masari orders three markets shut in Katsina

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, on Monday ordered three additional markets shut down in the state over growing concerns of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.

The markets affected by the latest order are Dutsi, kayawa and Garkin Daura markets.

The statement was contained in a statement by the Secretary of State Government, Dr Mustapha Inuwa, adding that the action followed growing concerns over the increasing confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state.

He said the shutdown order is with immediate effect as part of the stringent measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the SSG, members of the general public are strongly advised to remain law abiding as law enforcement agents have been directed to ensure total compliance.
