Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, said on Tuesday the state government had traced 74 contacts directly linked with the late member of the state House of Assembly, Adamu Suleiman Ibrahim, who died from COVID-19 last week.

Sule, who disclosed this in a chat with journalists, said precautionary measures had been put in place to check the spread of the disease in the state.

He added that a total lockdown had also been imposed on the late lawmaker’s Nasarawa local government area of the state.

The governor said: “Our team is currently in Nasarawa taking samples of all the members of his family.

“The 74 contacts are all in Nasarawa and have nothing to do with the contacts he had at the Assembly.”
