COVID-19: Osinbajo in self-isolation

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has embarked on self-isolation following cases of coronavirus in the presidency.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, to the Vice President, Laolu Akande, disclosed this on Tuesday.

Akande said on his Twitter handle @akandeoj- the Vice President is self-isolating in accordance with the “protocols” of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

At least 44 persons including the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, and the Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, had tested positive for the disease in the country.

While Kyari tested positive on Monday, the result of the Bauchi governor’s test was released by the NCDC on Tuesday.

Two out of the 44 Coronavirus cases had been discharged by health authorities and one person had been killed by the disease that had infected over 200, 000 people in more than 60 countries across the globe.
