Ace comedian, Ayodele Makun, popularly known as AY, has taken a swipe at Nigerian politicians who have been infected with the deadly coronavirus which has spread across the globe and has claimed the lives of many.

The comedian who was reacting to reports that Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed have both tested positive for the virus said that the politicians can now seek treatment at the poor hospitals they built for the masses.

AY who took to his official Twitter page to bare his thoughts said that the outbreak of coronavirus will have a long term positive effect on the health sector in Nigeria which is currently substandard.

His post on Twitter reads thus; “All the politicians testing positive should be taken to the poor health centers they initially left for the masses.

“Either we like it or not, the Covid19 will have a positive impact on the Nigeria system of govt, particularly the health sector,” the comedian added.

AY’s comments come after the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, charged those who attended the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2020 held on March 14, to embark on self-isolation.

The commissioner said it is necessary for the individuals concerned to self-isolate as they may have come in contact with a person who had tested positive for COVID-19.

He urged them to contact health workers should they notice any Coronavirus-related symptoms.
