COVID-19: Sierra Leone President self-isolates after aide tests positive

President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio, would self isolate for 14 days and work from home after one of his aides tested positive for coronavirus.

He announced on Monday night during a televised address that the un-named aide who happened to be a security staff, tested positive while in quarantine and he [Bio] was yet to develop symptoms.

The president who also took to Twitter to make the announcement wrote: “The EOC is testing all contacts of one of my security staff who had been in a 14-day quarantine and has tested positive for Covid-19. My government will continue to be transparent and urges citizens to protect themselves by following all hygiene and other protocols.”

The West Africa country has had 50 confirmed cases of Coronavirus, Zero deaths and 6 recoveries so far.
