Curfew in Tunisia after protesters decry spate of unemployment

Thousands of protesters who thronged the streets of Kasserine province in Tunisia demanding jobs were met with tear gas from local police who tried to disperse the angry crowd of young men.

Sources say the protests started after an unemployed man committed suicide in an incident that sparked wild protests and clashes between protesters demanding jobs and local police.

Reports say at least 23 people were injured in the clashes, including three security forces, and a curfew from 6pm to 5am local time has been imposed in the city.
