Dasukigate: FG unleashes Interpol, FBI on fleeing suspects

The Federal Government through the EFCC is to seek the assistance of international anti-crime agencies like the Interpol and FBI to go after suspects in the $2.1 billion arms procurement scandal.

It was gathered that this became necessary following the refusal of some of the former government officials who have left the country to honour several invitations extended to them by the EFCC to come through light on their involvement in the scandal.

Prominent among those being targeted a former governor from the north, two former Attorney-generals, a minister and some PDP chieftains said to be holing up in Dubai, and the Scandanavian region.

The EFCC it was learnt is working towards their arrest, by going through the Interpol and the American Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) even as it has issued another warning to the suspects to voluntarily present themselves for questioning.

The EFCC has alleged that a number of top officials of the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration took part in the sharing of funds from the $2.1 billion budgeted for arms procurement, for which a former National Security Adviser (NSA) and other top military chiefs are being prosecuted.

It is believed that the suspects had sneaked out of the country in the wake of investigations into the alleged scam for which money voted for the fight against the Boko Haram sect was allegedly squandered by a few top government individuals.

It would be recalled that a former minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke had stated that he would honour the EFCC’s invitation until he is done with his studies, but did not specify when that would be.

Story story, we’ve heard these tough talks so many times, its starting to sound like a cracked record.
what we want to know is when will these criminals go to jail and how long will they rot there, and the stolen loot used to better our infrastructure and economy.
enough of the talking already, we want action, not political speeches
