Dasuki’s case adjourned to October 5
The embattled immediate past National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki, may have to wait much longer to get justice, as a Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court, Maitama, Monday, adjourned his motion for consolidation of two of the cases against him to October 5.
It will be recalled that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, is prosecuting Dasuki, a former Director of Finance at the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, Shuaibu Salisu, and a former Executive Director at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Aminu Baba-Kusa, for alleged diversion of N13.6 billion.
The motion for the consolidation of the suits was not moved at the last sitting of the court due to the absence of the counsel to Salisu, Chief Akin Olujimi, SAN.

Counsels to Dasuki and Baba-Kusa, Joseph Daudu, SAN and Solomon Umoh, SAN, respectively, had insisted that the motion be moved in the presence of Olujimi.
The trial judge, Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf, adjourned the case to July 11 after listening to the submissions of the defence counsels.
However, judges of High Courts in the country commenced their annual vacation on Monday, making the resumption of proceedings not to hold.
