Dead baby dumped in refuse in Calabar

Residents of Calabar woke up on Thursday to behold the sad sight of a dead baby that had been left in a carton, and dumped at a refuse site.

The heap of refuse located around Etta Agbor Layout beside Unital Hotel, Calabar was surrounded by onlookers who lamented the sad occurrence.

An eyewitness who informed Ripples Nigeria of the development said a number of women were moved to tears as they saw the dead baby, even as some people cursed and abused whoever could have done such a callous thing.

The authorities were yet to arrive the site, nor removed the dead baby and refuse as at the time of filing in this report.
