Delta, Imo delegates show off fighting skills at APC convention

It was drama at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention on Saturday as delegates from Delta State engaged one another in a free-for-all.

Similar incident also occurred among delegates from Imo State at the convention which held at the Eagles Square, Abuja.

The fight involving delegates from Delta State happened between those loyal Chief O’tega Emerhor and a former governorship candidate in the state, Chief Great Ogboru.

The fight between delegates of the two leaders in Delta State started when President Muhammadu Buhari stepped out to read his address.

It was learnt that the delegates loyal to O’tega picked offence after they returned from where they had gone to eat only to discover that their seats had been taken over by the other faction.

Some minutes before the clash involving delegates from Delta, their counterparts from Imo State were already enmeshed in a serious clash.

The clashes had gone on not minding the heavy presence of security at the venue with President Muhammadu Buhari and his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and other top party members present.

Meanwhile, police personnel and soldiers providing security at the Eagle Square had a tough battle trying to control the mammoth crowd of party supporters at the venue of the convention.
