Democracy Day: Nothing to celebrate, says lkedife

Published

on

Former President General of Apex Igbo socio cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Dozie lkedife, has written off the just celebrated Democracy Day in Nigeria saying, “it is for only those who believed in it.”

Chief lkedife, who is also the Chairman of Council of Elders Forum, contended that many ethnic groupings were shut out of the nation’s governance pointing out that some have lost confidence in the present dispensation in the country and see nothing democratic about it.

“So many people have nothing to celebrate and many are excluded. In all the streets of Nigeria you see it in the faces of people that there is nothing to celebrate.”
