Demonstrators plan wild rallys to protest against Trump’s policy

The mother of all protests over President Donald Trump’s “zero tolerance”as it concerns US immigration policy is about to be staged according to reports.

Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators are planning more than 700 events nationwide against Trump’s “inhumane” immigration policies and the reunification of children and parents who were separated at the border.

Under the banner “Families Belong Together”, numerous civil rights and advocacy groups united to organise what are expected to be the biggest protests the country has seen yet.

A week after signing an executive order ending child separation, the US government revealed that it has the right to detain children and parents caught crossing the U.S. border illegally for the duration of their immigration proceedings.

According to lawyers of the US Justice Department, in the filing in U.S. District Court in California on Friday, they now have no choice but to hold children for as long as it takes to resolve their immigration cases, because of a preliminary injunction issued on Tuesday in a separate immigration case.
