Despite immorality complaints, Heritage Bank insists on support for BBNaija

In spite of complaints by many Nigerians over the nature of the Big Brother Naija TV show, Heritage Bank Plc, has said it would continue to partner with the organisers to bring the reality TV show to viewers across Africa and beyond.

There have been debates about the moral nature of the show by viewers who questioned its essence as it seemed to portray immorality and other socially unacceptable vices.

However, it’s promoters have argued that it is meant for adult viewing, and in a dedicated channel that can be kept away from non-adults.
However, Mr. Fela Ibidapo, Group Head, Corporate Communications of Heritage Bank disclosed at the grand finale of the BBNaija which held over the weekend, that “we will continue to partner with Multichoice on the project because we believe in entertainment”.

The grand prize is made up of cash reward of N25 million, an SUV Jeep valued at N12 million, N4.7 million to travel to international destination of choice and N3.3 million for the purchase of a complete home entertainment system.

Mr. Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the host of the programme had disclosed that a total of 170 million votes were cast for the third season while 30 million votes were recorded in the last week of the programme.
