President Muhammadu Buhari has sent to the National Assembly for approval the proposed New National Minimum Wage of N27,000.

A letter to the effect was read on the floor of the House by the Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided over the plenary.

The development is coming despite kicks against the proposal by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and other labour unions.
