Despite public appearance, Fani-Kayode insists Buhari should resign

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Friday said it was a good thing President Muhammadu Buhari attended Juma’at prayer, but insisted he should resign to take care of his health.

Fani-Kayode who stated this in a tweet on his handle, added in a coinage of his, “We say no to corpsocracy.”

The tweet reads, “Glad that Muhammadu Buhari was at the mosque today. Again we call upon him to resign and to go and take care of his health. We say no to corpsocracy!”

The tweet came following the surprise appearance of President Buhari at Juma’at prayer at Presidential Villa, having been absent at the last Friday’s prayer and failure to attend three consecutive Federal Executive Council (FEC) meetings.

There have been diverse rumours making the round over the president’s state of health, with some painting a picture of him being fed intravenously.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and human right activist, Femi Falana, Debo Adeniran and about 11 other Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) in a joint statement urged the president to take immediate leave and attend to his health.

Several other Nigerians have made similar calls with some of them demanding for his resignation.

However, Buhari’s wife, Aisha, sequel to these rumours on Tuesday took to social media to announce that her husband’s illness is not as bad as being perceived.

You have been brainwashed by the APC government that has been victimizing opposition party and painting them black. Fani Kayose isn’t a thief as many were made to believe by the useless APC.

Only a fool will blame Fani-Kayode for asking Buhari to resign, the man
has spoken well. Buhari is not healthy, he needs proper home care. Let him go home to his family and enjoy home treat without having to think about Nigeria

Fani Kayode is always against Buhari and his government, he’s definitely one of the people who want Buhari out of power so they can have their ways without getting prosecuted for corruption.
