Dessers nets hat-trick as Rangers advance in Scottish Cup

Super Eagles forward Cyriel Dessers scored a hat-trick for Rangers as they progressed to the Scottish Cup last 16 with a 5-0 victory over Fraserburgh.
Dessers’ hat trick and strikes from Clinton Nsiala and Ross McCausland hammered Highland League Fraserburgh in the fourth round tie.
Dessers showed the two sides of his game in the first half, somehow missing a sitter with the goal gaping before finally breaking the deadlock after 27 minutes.

Aside bagging a hat-trick, Dessers, who was also on target in Rangers’ 3-0 win against Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership in midweek, also provided an assist in the dominant Cup win.
Rangers will know their round of 16 opponent after Monday night’s draw.
The Glasgow giants have won the Scottish Cup 34 times and are the second most successful team after Celtic (42) in the history of the competition.
The last time Rangers won the Scottish Cup was in the 2021-2022 season and lost 1-0 to Celtic in last season’s final.
