I didn’t take Duterte’s comments personal, Trump has wacky ideas –Obama

President Barack Obama of the US has revealed that he did not take earlier comments from Pilipino’s President Rodrigo Duterte personal.

He said this after Duterte called him a “son of a bitch” and said he would not be lectured over extrajudicial killings in the Philippines’ drug war.

Obama on Thursday revealed that the partnership between the two countries should be consistent with the rule of law and international norms.

On the other hand, Obama described Republican nominee Donald Trump as unfit to become President of the United States of America, saying the public should press him on his “outright wacky ideas”.

Speaking at the end of the second of two Asian summits in Laos, Obama said; “I don’t think the guy’s qualified to be president of the United States, and every time he speaks, that opinion is confirmed,” Obama told a news conference.

Continuing, Obama added that; “The most important thing for the public and the press is to just listen to what he says and follow up and ask questions about what appear to be either contradictory or uninformed, or outright wacky, ideas.”
