DMX in close shave with death

Published

Husky voiced rapper, DMX, had a close shave with death when he passed out on Monday not breathing, without a pulse coupled with signs pointing to an overdose of substance.

Now recuperating in the hospital, DMX said hours after he regained consciousness that all he remembered before passing out was having a shortness of breath after suffering bronchitis for a couple of days. He also denied taking powder or drugs.

According to a version of the incident by a family member of DMX, the rapper requested for an inhaler for asthma which was not handed to him in good time before he fell unconscious.

Interestingly, the version given by the cops who rescued DMX at the scene of the incident, say they got a call about an unconscious male which they responded to.

On getting to the Ramada Inn parking lot where the rapper collapsed, they recognised him and discovered he was lifeless and not breathing.

The cops immediately administered CPR on him and moments later, he became semi-concious and his pulse came back.

Also, a witness at the scene of the incident said he told the cops that DMX had inhaled some sort of powder before knocking himself out of consciousness.

The witness said the cops gave DMX Narcan, an antidote to narcotic ODs and the rapper  became “semi-conscious” before he was taken to the hospital.

DMX appears to be in stable condition in hospital and at this time, no criminal charges are expected against him.
