Dogara meets El-Rufai’s challenge, presents pay slips

House of Representatives Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, on Tuesday released details of his October 2016, to March 2017 salaries pay slips.

Dogara’s total pay per month, as revealed by the pay slip is N402,530.37, while after tax deduction has been made he has a net salary of N346,577.87.

The pay slip shows that his basic salary is N206,425.83; Constituency, N175,461.96; and Recess, N20,642.58.

Dogara and Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai had during the closing ceremony of the National Assembly Management Retreat held in Kaduna last Friday challenged each to make public earning of governors and National Assembly members.

Following that challenge, El-Rufai on Monday published the breakdown of his security vote among other earnings.

El-Rufai had after that action said he would like to “reiterate his call for the NASS leadership to do the same and disclose the details of the National Assembly budget, and the salaries and allowances of its leadership.”

Apparently in response to that challenge, Dogara on Tuesday Night released his pay slips.
