Dogara says APC govt has failed the North East

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara has warned the Governor of Bauchi State, Abdullahi Abubakar and the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the State to take a cue from the Tribunal ruling that declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State as the winner of the September 2018 governorship election in the state.

Dogara in a statement on Friday said the judgement rekindled hope for those who felt robbed of their mandate.

The speaker warned the Governor of Bauchi State as well as the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the state to take a cue from the judgement and learn a lesson that the truth will always prevail, no matter how long it takes as the wheels of justice grinds slowly but surely.

The court on Friday ruled that the supplementary election held in the state in seven polling units was illegal.

Consequently, the PDP’s Candidate, Ademola Adeleke was declared winner of the election.
