Dogara’s defection: Plot to polarise House uncovered
A plot to polarise the House of Representatives, especially the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus, has been uncovered.
In this light, the recent crisis in which various allegations were flying around might be part of a greater strategy to prevent the APC caucus in the House from speaking with one voice after the planned defection of the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara.
There was confusion in the House of Representatives over allegations of plans to impeach Speaker Dogara by the leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Investigation by The Nation has shown that the allegation, which came from the former Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, might have been contrived.
