Don’t tell me shut up, Dede Mabiaku yells at Buhari’s spokesman (See video)

These are, obviously, not the best of times for President Buhari and his image managers.

If anything, the President is not getting the deserved vacation he asked for as his spokespersons are struggling with polishing his troubled image.

The latest, in a series of mis-steps, is a video that has gone viral showing Dede Mabiaku, a renowned artiste, walking out on Lagos Talks FM 93.1 radio presenter and Femi Adesina, one of Buhari’s top media aides, during a live radio programme.

Dede could be heard screaming and expressing reservations at the manner Adesina had asked him to shut up while fielding questions. “Why do you want to hear me when he (Adesina) had the audacity to tell me to shut up?” he asked

The task of keeping the president’s reputation intact and squeaky has become not only challenging but unnerving.

Between Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu, both senior aides to Buhari on Media and Publicity, it’s been edgy and tension-soaked these past weeks.

Only recently, Shehu got bashed by the Nigerian public for making veiled reference to former President Goodluck Jonathan in the course of articulating how best to quench the rumoured death of his principal, Buhari.

For Adesina, he still contends with outpour of anger that trailed his claim that President Buhari is not obligated to speaking to Nigerians at all times and on every issue.

Piqued by developments in the country, Nigeria’s biggest acts in the entertainment industry, led by 2Face Idibia, have resolved to lead a nation-wide protest on February 5, a day before President Buhari is due back in the country.

Reports, however, say that some agencies of government have planned a counter rally for same date to take the steam off the anti-government protests.

I remembered tuface once sang from grass to grace, if he is not careful, he will later sing from grace to grass.

“Why do you want to hear me when he (Adesina) had the audacity to tell me to shut up?”

Being a Presidential media aide doesn’t give the right to tell anyone to shut up. Who the hell is Adesina?

Nice one from Dede, it’s better to walk away from an insulting atmosphere than to remain there like mumu

Hmmmm. No matter how Dede wants to make himself popular, it won’t work out. To me, I see him as nonentity.

Buhari’s media aids are rude, this isn’t about Femi Adesina alone, they are all rude. Buhari left the country just a week ago and they turned themselves into nuisance because they want to represent their master very well.
