German club, Borussia Dortmund are ready to outbid Arsenal for the signature of Nigerian youngster Sodiq Umar.
According to Italian newspaper, Spezia’s edition , Borussia Dortmund have recently offered Roma €16m for the player, to be paid in two parts.

The newspaper says that Arsenal have made a €15m bid, but they wanted to pay it in three parts. The article claims the auction is on and the price is expected to be raised until the summer’s transfer window.

Sadiq is actually on loan at Roma from Spezia until June. The club will reportedly use their buying option to sign the 19-year-old permanently for €2.5m at the end of the season, and then make a big profit.

The Italian press have been treating the case as if Roma are certainly signing the player and already preparing to sell him.

Sadiq has two goals in 94 minutes of Serie A football this season and is considered to be a great prospect of Nigerian football. His links with Arsenal have been reported for a while now, but it would appear their request for three payments hasn’t gone down well.
