Draw lessons from US presidential election, Atiku reacts to Trump’s victory
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, says Nigeria needs to learn lessons on the conduct of the credible polls that saw the emergence of Donald Trump as the winner of the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Ripples Nigeria reports that in a stunning political comeback, Trump, 78, won the election, defeating Democratic candidate, Kamala Harris, 59.
The race, which captivated the nation, saw Trump return to the White House after an intense and often controversial campaign marked by personal and legal challenges.
Atiku while reacting via a statement, posted on his X, said: “I closely followed the presidential election in the United States of America, watching with bated breath as the nation decided its future.
“It is with even greater satisfaction that I now reflect on the result, which heralds a resounding victory for President Donald Trump, @realDonaldTrump, and the Republican Party, @GOP.
