DSS arrests, transfers Chocolate City boss Maikori to Abuja for interrogation

Chocolate City boss Audu Maikori who was picked up on Friday by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), has reportedly been transferred to Abuja for more questioning over the recent comments he made on social media on the southern Kaduna killings.

The lawyer and entertainment impressario has since retracted the comments he made over the killings when he said five students of the Kaduna state College of Education were killed in the Southern Kaduna crisis.

He stated that after carrying out a detailed investigation that involved the police, he found out that his driver who broke the news to him and was in Kaduna at the time of the incident claimed his brother was also killed, lied to him just to extort money.

But it seems Maikori’s lengthy retraction and apology over the comments fell on deaf ears after he was picked up yesterday and transferred to Abuja by the DSS for more questioning.

Recall that Maikori’s statement was also swiftly denied by the College of Education which issued a statement refuting the claims made by the Choc City boss who was later faced with a backlash on social media.
