D'Tigers grab second win in Tunisia

The Nigerian senior men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, have continued their title defence at the 2017 FIBA Africa Championship in Tunisia with a thumping 90-67 win over Mali.

Having won Cote d’Ivoire in their first game, Nigeria remain Group A leaders with four points after Saturday’s victory.

The Nigerian men grabbed a 20-16 points lead from the first quarter, and by the second quarter they were leading 39-33 points against the Malians.

Mali came out stronger in the third quarter but could not stop the Nigerians who again dominated the quarter and went into the last quarter with another impressive performance to end the game with 90-67 victory.

Nigeria will face Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday in their third game of the FIBA Africa tournament.
