Eagles goalie Daniel Akpeyi joins Kaizer Chiefs

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi has left Chippa United and joined another South African club, Kaizer Chiefs.

The deal was completed on deadline-day of the January transfer window on Thursday.

The details of the deal were however not revealed.

The club is set to unveil Akpeyi in a press conference in their headquarters in Naturena, according to a report on KickOff.com.

Akpeyi is expected to replace Kaizer Chiefs reserve goalkeeper and Namibian international Virgil Vries who has come under heavy criticism for his unimpressive performance lately.

33-year-old Akpeyi could make his debut this Saturday when the Chiefs face Orlando Pirates in the Soweto derby.
