An official of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says they got approval for players of the Super Eagles to be paid $10,000 each for the two match victories against Zambia and Algeria.

He also said that the cash will be transferred to the accounts of the players.

“We have got the approval for their bonuses, which will be paid into
the accounts,” a top official informed.

He also stated that “each player received N350,000 as training camp allowance for the Algeria match after the stipend was increased from N20,000 a day to N50,000. They also got cash for Lagos-Abuja return
ticket.”

However, what is not clear or yet to be ascertained is if the money will be paid in US dollars as the team have demanded or in local currency and at what conversion rate.
