Fresh facts emerging from Super Eagles players revealed that most of the players are not favourably disposed to the plan by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to hire a foreign coach to tinker the team.

Ripples.com.ng exclusively gathered that the players, after the elimination from the 2017 AFCON race, agreed in a meeting and threw their weight behind the coaching crew, urging the NFF to retain the Coach Samson Siasia’s coaching crew for stability.

According to a source close to the camp, “The team appreciated the matured approach Coach Samson Siasia, Salihu, Emmanuel Amuneke and Alloy Agu in relating with them since camp opened and wants the cordial relationship to continue

“They also sued for peace among the stakeholders, blaming the constant NFF squabbles for the misfortune in Nigerian football.”

The source added that, “They believe the combination of the coaching crew will help in the transition of young players from the 2015 Golden Eaglets, the 2015 Flying Eagles and the current U-23 Eagles to the Super Eagles, thereby building a stronger and formidable Super Eagles.”

Meanwhile, the leadership of the NFF have concluded an agreement with a foreign coach to lead the Super Eagles.

“The foreign coach deal is signed and sealed. The NFF will unveil him soon as they plan to relocate back to Lagos in order to be close to their sponsors and the media considering Lagos as the hub of the core media in Nigeria.

“The coach will be based and work from Lagos,” another source told www.ripples.com.ng.
