Ebola: Not yet Uhuru as S’Leone records new case

Just when West Africans were heaving a sigh of relief hours after the World Health Organisation declared that the outbreak of Ebola was over in the region, officials in Sierra Leone have confirmed one death from the dreaded disease.

According to reports, the death occurred this week and it was confirmed that the person who passed on in northern Sierra Leone died of the virus after two test conducted on him proved positive at an Ebola test centre.

Recall that Sierra Leone was declared Ebola free on the 7th of November while Liberia was also pronounced free from the virus before the disease reared it’s ugly head again.
