Edo 2016: Defected members were expelled 3 months ago, APGA says
The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has said those were reported to have defected from the party to the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state were expelled three months ago for anti-party activities.
It would be recalled that the state publicity secretary of APGA, Chief Paul Okolie and the organising secretary, Chidi Eze, had defected to APC and at the same time, endorsed the candidate of the party for the September 28 governorship election in the state, Godwin Obaseki.
The party stated this in a statement issued by the state chairman, Godfrey Ehimen and secretary, Aifuobhokhan Emmanuel on Thursday in Benin.
Describing them as political jobbers, the party said Okolie, Eze and their followers lost their membership of the party three months ago when they were expelled for anti-party activities.
