EFCC arrests 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Anambra

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 37 suspected internet fraudsters in Anambra State.

The suspects were arrested in a sting operation at Commissioners’ Quarters in Awka, the state capital on Wednesday.

In a statement posted on its X handle, the commission said the arrest of the suspects followed reports on their fraudulent activities.

Items recovered from the suspects include six exotic cars, laptops and mobile phones.

“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
