EFCC arrests, interrogates ex Kebbi gov, Dakingari

The immediate past governor of Kebbi State, Usman Dakingari has been reportedly arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of laundering N3.8 billion from the state’s coffers

Mr. Dakingari reportedly arrived the Abuja headquarters of the EFCC around 10am Nigerian time and underwent interrogation for several hours at the hands of EFCC investigators.

The anti-graft agency recently arrested Dakingari’s wife, Zainab over allegation of laundering N2 billion for her husband.

Dakingari was elected governor on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2007.
