EFCC frees ex-gov Modu Sheriff on bail

PDP Bot sets expiry date for Sheriff

Former Borno State governor, Ali Modu Sheriff, who was quizzed for about two days by the EFCC over allegations of embezzlement involving about N300 billion, was on Thursday let out on bail.

EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, said he was granted an administrative bail but “we can ask him to come back at any time we need him”.

No charges have been pressed and trial has not commenced. Specific allegations against the former governor are​unclear at this time.
