EFCC rearrests former NIMASA DG

Published

on

There was a mild drama on Monday outside the Federal High Court, as operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) rearrested the former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Patrick Akpobolokemi.

Akpobolokemi had been granted bail in the sum of N50poon million by Justice Ibrahim Buba, a condition he had met.

He was however rearrested on Monday after Justice Buba adjourned his case to the 18th of January, 2016 for commencement of trial.

The former NIMASA DG had come from home but his trial was stalled when the defence counsel asked for adjournment.
