More properties belonging to the former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, Abdulrasheed Maina, have been sealed by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

At least no less than six of the properties belonging to Maina and located in Kaduna states were on Tuesday sealed by the anti-graft agency..

The agency had earlier on Monday also sealed two compounds owned by the wanted former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms.

Maina is alleged to have committed a N2 billion fraud in 2013 and has been on the wanted list of the EFCC for the alleged offence.

He was, however, reinstated in a controversial manner into the civil service.

But following a media report and public outcry, President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday ordered his immediate dismissal and demanded a full report on how he was reinstated into the service.

The EFCC had also on Monday, following his dismissal, stormed one of Maina’s mansions located at No. 10 Hamisu Musa Road, Jabi, which he allegedly bought with $2 million while serving as the chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms in 2012 and sealed it off.
