Turkish giant Fenerbahce has indicated interest in Super Eagles and Celtic of Scotland defender Efe Ambrose but the Nigerian will wait to see what happens at this summer’s Olympics before making a decision on his future.

Fenerbahce have secured a place in this season’s Champions League group stages after coming second in the Turkish league but there could be further options available to the defender if he shows up well in Brazil this summer.

Ambrose has a year to go on his current Celtic contract but with Brendan Rodgers stepping into the managerial position at Celtic Park, the defender is expected to be one of those who leaves the club this summer.

However, the defender has his sights set on a strong showing in Rio with Nigeria, a competition he believes might open further doors for him in terms of where his next step in club football ought to be.
