EFL Cup: Iheanacho hero for Leicester; Man City cruise, Man Utd crash

Super Eagles forward, Kelechi Iheanacho scored the decisive penalty kick that saw Leicester City advance past Wolverhampton Wanderers into the fourth round of the Carabao (EFL) Cup.

The Foxes battled with their hosts to a goalless draw at full time, before securing their place in the next round by winning 3-1 on penalties.

Also on Tuesday, Premier League champions Manchester City cruised past Oxford to the next round of the competition with a resounding 3-0 win at the Kassam Stadium.

Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden were the goalscorers for the Pep Guardiola side.

Meanwhile, Manchester United suffered a surprise defeat at Old Trafford to Championship club Derby County, as they fell 8-7 on penalty shoot-out.

The game ended 2-2 after regulation time, with Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini scored for the hosts while Harry Wilson and Jack Marriott netted for the visitors.
