Egypt coach sure of upset against Nigeria in Kaduna

Nifemi D‎aniel

Egypt assistant coach, Mahmoud Fayez, has boasted that the Pharaohs are ready to shock the Super Eagles by securing a victory at the Ahmedu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, during the first leg of the back-to-back 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier billed for March 25.

The Pharaohs of Egypt are looking to end their six-year absence from the AFCON finals by finishing top of Group C ahead of Nigeria, Chad and Tanzania.

Fayez indicated that they have come up with a plan to overcome the West African giants.

“We know everything about Nigeria, we have been studying them. They are a very good side but we have our plans in place to beat them,” Fayez said.

“We think we are capable of going to Kaduna and not just winning but also shutting them out totally. We simply can’t afford to let them score and they won’t, as we know what to do when we get there,” he added.
