Egyptian forces kill 6 suspected militants during raid

Men of the Egyptian Police Force have killed no less than 40 suspected fighters in response to a roadside bomb attack which killed four people.

Egypt’s interior ministry said the suspected fighters were killed in raids in Giza and northern Sinai – a volatile desert region that has been a hotbed for various armed groups.

The onslaught by Egyptian forces comes after a roadside bomb hit a tourist bus near the Pyramids of Giza, south of the capital Cairo, on Friday, killing three Vietnamese tourists and their Egyptian guide.

Report say there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack which also witnessed the wounding of 11 other Vietnamese tourists as well as an Egyptian driver.
