EKITI APC GOV PRIMARY: Ojudu withdraws, blames Oyegun

Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has pulled out of the Ekiti governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The primary, scheduled for Friday in Ado Ekiti, was initially held on Saturday, but was cancelled due to violence.
It was fixed for Friday, but again moved to Saturday.

Ojudu said, even though he had pulled out of the race, he was not stepping down for any of the remaining 32 aspirants.

Ojudu blamed national chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun for allegedly insisting on the party fielding a candidate that he said was not popular in the state.

Ojudu indicted the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC for complicity and alleged that the original committee appointed was changed by the Oyegun-led NWC.
