Ekundayo defends African boxing title June 4

African and Nigerian welterweight title champion, Larry Ekundayo, is gearing up to defend his African Boxing Union title belt against Tanzanian boxing star Saidi Mundi on Saturday 4th June in London.

Ekundayo who is the undefeated African Boxing Union champion, International Masters welterweight title holder and the 2012 Prizefighter champion will battle the Tanzanian Champion Mundi who has an impressive ring record of 14 wins and two losses.

The fight which is the first time an African title defence has headlined at the home of British boxing, the York Hall, London, is also expected to be attended by Nigerian celebrities from the worlds of music and film.

This night is of significant importance to the boxing phenomenon Ekundayo as victory will propel him up the world rankings ahead of a potential title defence in Nigeria on Independence Day, October 1st, 2016.
