Boko Haram kill 2 soldiers in ambush

The Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram, on Saturday (today) morning attacked Gaidam town In Yobe State.

Earlier reports had also stated that there were explosions in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, but the police had said there was no need to panic as it was a show of force by the authorities.

It was learnt that the insurgent group arrived Gaidam around 6:15am and began shooting sporadically, resulting to residents including traditional rulers fleeing the town into the bushes.

The development came just as no less than seven explosives, supposed to have been masterminded by the terrorists, rocked Maiduguri.

There are fears that the incidents may affect the ongoing presidential and National Assembly elections across the country.
