ELECTION LOSS: Saraki denies congratulating Oloriegbe, warns APC not to rejoice yet

Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki on Monday warned the All Progressives Congress (APC) not to rejoice on the outcome of the results of Kwara Central Senatorial District.

Saraki who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lost his bid to return to the Red chamber to Dr Ibrahim Oloriegbe of the APC in the district.

He advised the public to disregard any information that he had congratulated the winner of the poll.

Through a statement on Monday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki noted that his position would be communicated later.

He said, “The position of the Saraki camp will be communicated to the public later.

“The public should disregard any fictitious statements being issued and shared on WhatsApp.

“In the interim, the APC should stop issuing statements congratulating itself and ascribing it to our camp”.
