In from Nifemi Daniel…
Super Eagles outcast, Emmanuel Emenike, will join top European league, says his former manager, Yücel Ildız.
Ildiz was manager of Emenike at Karabükspor where the powerful striker first made a name for himself.
The Nigerian international striker has scored only five goals in 34 league appearances this season in all competitions.
Emenike has also attracted interest from the Arab gulf and China, but Ildız believes he will not leave Europe this summer.
“Emenike will join a top European league over the summer. He will not be moving to the Arab Gulf or China,” Ildız told Radyospor.
The 28-year-old striker has been linked with a number of clubs over the past season from England and Russia.
Tottenham were linked with a €10 million move in January for Emenike by the newspaper Metro.
Fenerbahçe finished the Süper Lig as runners up and booked a place in next seasons Champions League.
