Enekwechi into final of men’s Shot Put in Paris

Nigeria’s Chukwuebuka Enekwechi has advanced to the final of the men’s Shot Put at the 2024 Olympic Games.

Enekwechi secured his spot in Saturday’s final by finishing fifth in Group B, with a throw of 21.13m on Friday night.

The 31-year-old African champion is the first Nigerian to reach the final of any event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Enekwechi also made it to the Shot Put final at the Tokyo Olympics four years ago. This time, he aims to finish in the top three and reach the podium.
