Enyimba stop MFM from climbing closer to NPFL summit

In a matchday 33 clash of the Nigeria Professional Football League, Enyimba held MFM to a goalless draw denying them the opportunity to step up the chase for the title.

With the title race still wide open, the Sunday game at the Agege Stadium would have boosted the Lagos side’s chances of winning the league.

A win for second-placed MFM would have taken them to 58 points, just a point behind league leaders, Plateau United, who picked up a 1-1 draw at Kano Pillars.

Plateau thus maintain their position at the top of the table on 59 points as MFM hold on to second on 56 points, while Enyimba are fourth on 51 points.
