Manchester City forward, Sergio Aguero has revealed that majority of players are scared about returning to action amid the coronavirus pandemic.

There have been calls for the English Premier League to resume in order to conclude the rest of the 2019-2020 season, which was suspended due to the pandemic.

With a tentative resumption date of 8 June, Aguero has called on authorities to also consider how players feel about the move.

“The majority of players are scared because they have children and families,” 31-year-old Aguero told Argentine TV station El Chiringuito.

“I’m scared but I’m with my girlfriend here and I’m not going to be in contact with other people.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger has also called on the Premier League to crown leaders Liverpool champions and call it a season.

Jurgen Klopp’s side needed just two more wins to clinch the title before football in England was halted on 13 March.

“Honestly, as far as I’m concerned they can give Liverpool the title,” Rudiger was quoted by the media.

“At the end of the day they deserve it, they’ve had a great season and are leading the table with, oh I don’t know how many points.”

The Reds have won a ridiculous 27 of their 29 matches so far, and are currently 25 points clear of sexond-placed Manchester City.
