EPL: Iwobi subbed off in Everton’s shock defeat, Man City thrash Aston Villa

Super Eagles forward, Alex Iwobi was in action for Everton as the Toffees were beaten 3-2 by Brighton in a Premier League clash on Saturday.

His compatriot, Leon Balogun was benched for Brighton.

The game was Iwobi’s seventh of the campaign for the Toffees albeit he has registered one goal.

He was replaced in the 72nd minute by Dominic- Calvert Lewin.

Balogun, on the other hand, has made the bench twice for the Seagulls this season and yet to make a league appearance for the club.

In the other league matches played concurrently, West Ham were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Sheffield United while Watford played goalless with Bournemouth.

Earlier in the day, Champions Manchester City thrashed Aston Villa 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium.
